Grade Overview:
The UKG program at SNS Academy serves as the bridge between the foundational kindergarten years and formal schooling in Grade 1. Children consolidate their pre-academic skills while developing greater confidence, independence, and readiness for structured learning. The Design Thinking mindset is further nurtured through simple problem-solving activities and collaborative projects.
What Students Will Learn
Reading Readiness: Reading simple sentences, recognizing sight words, understanding basic grammar concepts (nouns, verbs), and developing comprehension skills.
Mathematical Concepts: Numbers up to 100, backward counting, simple subtraction, introduction to money concepts, and basic problem-solving.
General Awareness: Understanding community helpers, plants and animals, good habits, seasons, festivals, and modes of transport.
Writing Skills: Forming letters and words correctly, writing simple sentences, and expressing ideas through writing and drawing.
Social Skills: Following classroom routines, working cooperatively, showing empathy, and resolving simple conflicts with guidance.
Subjects Offered

SPINE Center Activities: Regular sessions in the splash pool, creative movement in the dance studio, and access to age-appropriate fitness activities.
Co-Curricular Activities
Little Chefs: Simple no-cook recipes that introduce basic food concepts and following instructions.
Junior Gardeners: Planting seeds, caring for plants, and observing growth cycles.
Story Makers: Creating simple picture stories and narrating them to peers.
Yoga for Kids: Basic yoga postures and breathing exercises for focus and relaxation.
Show and Tell: Regular opportunities to speak about topics of interest, building confidence and communication skills.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Requirement: Children must be 5 years old by the 31st of March in the academic year for which admission is sought.
